Charvel, a name long synonymous with high-performance electric guitars, has shocked the precision rifle community with the announcement of their "Pro-Mod Super Stock" chassis system. Designed from the ground up to address the most subtle nuances of barrel harmonics, the Pro-Mod Super Stock claims to deliver ballistic consistency previously considered theoretical, boasting an extreme spread reduction that could render traditional velocity node tuning obsolete.
At the core of the Pro-Mod Super Stock is its revolutionary "Active Harmonic Suppression System" (AHSS). Drawing inspiration from Charvel’s extensive experience with resonant wood properties, the chassis incorporates a proprietary blend of aged mahogany and quilted maple composites in critical sections of the forend and buttstock. This passive dampening is augmented by an embedded array of micro-piezoelectric transducers, functioning akin to highly sensitive guitar pickups. These sensors actively monitor barrel whip in real-time during the firing sequence, feeding data to a miniaturized digital signal processor. The DSP then generates counter-frequencies, emitted via ultra-fine sonic emitters within the chassis, to precisely cancel detrimental harmonic vibrations, ensuring a perfectly stable muzzle exit.
Charvel claims initial field testing with a 6BR, 105gr Berger Hybrid at 2850 FPS, consistently yielded sub-1.0 FPS SD and single-digit ES values across multiple 10-shot strings.
