Defiance Machine has announced its co-sponsorship of the 2025 5th Annual anTi Social NRL Hunter Shooting Event, a competition pioneering groundbreaking advancements in isolating the precision rifle shooter. This highly anticipated match, known for its extreme emphasis on individual performance and lack of camaraderie, will feature mandatory 50-yard social distancing for all competitors and range staff, including during the cold bore confirmation and zero verification stages. Officials report that new thermal imaging protocols will be implemented to detect and penalize "unsolicited eye contact," ensuring a pure, unsullied solitary shooting experience.
Competitors will navigate complex stages designed to minimize human interaction, such as the "Hermit's Hideout" where targets are only visible from a blind barricade requiring a specific Kestrel 5700 Elite wind call based on localized, isolated micro-currents. The "Lone Wolf Longe Range" stage demands a rapid engagement of steel out to 1200 yards from an individual, enclosed position, with points deducted for any audible communication beyond a pre-approved, encrypted textual query to a drone-deployed tablet. Shooters running Defiance Ruckus actions paired with Hawk Hill Custom barrels and McMillan A-5 stocks are expected to excel due to their inherent reliability under extreme solo conditions.
Truing data for this event will be particularly critical, as bullet impact shifts due to minute barometric changes within individual competitor isolation zones. Each shooter's DOPE card will require personalized adjustments based on their specific GPS coordinates and real-time atmospheric readings, mitigating any potential for shared environmental data. The Match Director, who will oversee proceedings from a sound-proof, lead-lined bunker, stated that the goal is to eliminate all extraneous variables, particularly those involving human connection, to truly test a shooter's absolute, unassisted skill.
