Tikka has announced the expansion of its T3x ACE precision rifle range for the US market, introducing left-handed versions of both the ACE Target and ACE Game models. Distributed in the US by Beretta USA, this development brings a factory left-hand action to both branches of the chassis-based family, moving beyond the existing right-handed configurations.
This expansion is significant for left-handed shooters, as it represents a true left-handed rifle configuration rather than simply an adjustable stock described as ambidextrous. The move ensures that left-handed competitors and enthusiasts can access a purpose-built action within Tikka's dedicated precision rifle platform, extending representation across both the sport-shooting and crossover roles.
The left-hand ACE Target model is positioned for sustained range and competition use. The US announcement confirms chamberings including .223 Remington, .308 Winchester, and 6.5 Creedmoor. This model features a heavy barrel profile, an adjustable two-stage trigger, and is supplied with a 10-round metal magazine. Consistent with the broader ACE platform, it incorporates a cold-hammer-forged, free-floating barrel and a modular chassis system offering adjustments for length of pull, cheek support, and recoil-pad position, characteristics well-suited for tuning a precision rifle.
For shooters seeking versatility across hunting and range applications, the left-hand ACE Game model is also now available. It distinguishes itself from the Target variant by retaining a fluted, medium-contour barrel, rather than the heavier profile. The ACE Game shares the modular chassis concept and adjustable rear-stock arrangement, which are hallmarks of the ACE family, alongside an interchangeable magazine well. While the US release describes a broader chambering selection for the Game, specific calibers beyond those of the Target model were not enumerated in the announcement.
The barrel profile remains a key differentiator between the two models, underscoring their distinct intended roles despite sharing a common visual language and chassis architecture. The heavy barrel of the Target is optimized for consistent performance during high-round count stages, while the fluted medium-contour barrel of the Game balances accuracy with reduced weight for field utility. By introducing dedicated left-hand actions for both, Tikka broadens its factory range to accommodate a wider segment of the precision shooting community, maintaining the distinct identities and applications of the Target and Game platforms.
It is important to note that this development concerns the US T3x ACE family. The announcement does not establish a simultaneous release in every country, nor does it provide a comprehensive market-by-market delivery schedule beyond the US-specific distribution by Beretta USA.
