This extensive time handloading for competitive shooting reportedly highlighted persistent frustrations with many commercially available reloading accessories, particularly loading trays, which the creator identified as often flawed and notably 'under appreciated items'. Recognizing a gap in the market for a more robust and thoughtfully designed solution, the designer set specific criteria for a new tray. This commitment led to the development of several distinct models since 2016, culminating in what 782 Custom Gunworks now considers its most refined and effective design to date: the HUNDO.
The HUNDO is a 100-round loading tray, a capacity often favored by competitive shooters preparing for matches or engaging in significant load development, ensuring a sufficient batch size for consistent data. It is machined from US-made 6061 Aluminum, a choice of material that underscores a commitment to durability and structural integrity, crucial for equipment used frequently under demanding conditions. A defining characteristic of the HUNDO's design is its stepped holes, which are engineered to provide secure seating for two of the most prevalent cartridge sizes in precision rifle sports: .223 and .308 caliber cases.
