Savage Arms has officially announced the Revel Tactical lever-action rimfire rifle, a new offering poised to join the existing Revel and Revel DLX rifles, which were first introduced in September 2026. This latest iteration, announced for the US market on October 8, aims to provide an affordable, reliable, and versatile option for training, plinking, small game hunting, and pest control.

The Revel Tactical is available in three popular rimfire calibers: .22 Long Rifle, .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, and .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire. The rifle feeds from a magazine tube that incorporates a Henry-style front loading gate, offering a capacity of up to 12 rounds for the .22 Long Rifle variant and nine rounds for both the .22 WMR and .17 HMR models, plus one in the chamber for all configurations.

A key design element for the competitive shooter and enthusiast is the integration of modern, tactical features. The rifle boasts a black polymer M-LOK handguard, featuring four M-LOK slots on both sides and a single bottom slot, providing ample space for accessories. The medium-profile 18-inch (457 mm) carbon steel barrel is threaded ½x28 at the muzzle, protected by a screw-on cap, making it ready for suppressors, muzzle brakes, or compensators where legally permissible. Twist rates vary by caliber, with either 1:9" or 1:16" to optimize performance.

Ergonomics are enhanced by a black polymer MDT Tactical lightweight stock, which includes a redesigned pistol grip and heavy touchpoints for a secure hold. Clip-on cheek risers allow for comb height adjustment, and a rubberized recoil pad minimizes the already mild recoil of rimfire cartridges. Out of the box, the rifle comes with a hooded front post sight, an adjustable V-notch rear sight, and a 0 MOA single-piece Picatinny rail, ready for optics.

Built around a matte black finished aluminum alloy frame, the Revel Tactical features a single-action only trigger with a reported pull weight of 1.13 kg (40 oz.) and a crisp break. A manual safety is incorporated through an external hammer that can be set to a half-cock position. The rifle measures 36.75 inches (93.35 cm) in overall length and weighs 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

Notably, the Revel Tactical is designed for easy maintenance and transport, stripping into two main assemblies: a front assembly comprising the receiver, barrel, magazine tube, and handguard, and a rear assembly with the trigger group and stock. This facilitates cleaning, component replacement, and secure storage.

Beth Shimanski, Vice President of Marketing at Savage Arms, stated that the REVEL Tactical represents "the next evolution of our REVEL platform, combining the timeless appeal of a lever-action rifle with the modern features today’s shooters demand." She highlighted its customizable fit, accessory-ready design, smooth action, versatility, reliability, and performance for a range of uses from range days to small-game hunting.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Savage Arms Revel Tactical is set at $629.00 for the .22 Long Rifle variant, while the .22 WMR and .17 HMR models are priced at $659.00.
